This research program aims to implement technologically-advanced solutions for the detection and localization of landmines/UXOs. The investigated solutions are based on the advanced usage of electromagnetic waves, networks of biosensors, and/or intelligent metal detectors, and are expected to be safer, faster, and less expensive compared to the conventional demining techniques. They should help decrease the number of mines/UXOs casualties and lead to the earlier recovery of the contaminated lands .... More

Problems Faced by Syrian Refugee Students
On Saturday June 29th, 2013, BRIC organized a meeting in Tripoli at the Naufal Palace to assess the problems faced by Syrian refugee students and to discuss the possible solutions for these problems. All involved parties such as international and Lebanese organizations, the government and representatives of Syrian Education Commission were present at the meeting.
